Remembering with Ray Hadley

Listen to Ray Hadley speak about the Defence Community Dogs program, live from Honour House, Bathurst Prison - where the low security inmates train rescued and re-homed dogs for 250+ hours, preparing the dogs with a range of Assistance dog and Veteran specific commands; ready to provide emotional and physical support to Veterans with mood, depressive and anxiety conditions, including PTSD.

Ray visited the prison to see first hand the inmate trainers and to speak to DCD recipient Mick about the impact of DCD dog Lola on his life, and the life improvements Mick has witnessed in other DCD dog recipients; helping them to rebuild their lives and reconnect in with their community.

Thank you to NSW Corrections and Ray Hadley for their support of the program, and helping DCD continue to improve the lives of our Veterans. One paw at a time.
